Dumfries and Galloway Council is offering a grant of up to £3,000 to businesses and organisations to transition to Net Zero, or to become more Flood Resilient or to address Water Scarcity.
The fund is now fully subscribed and CLOSED.
Net Zero
This grant will help the organisation make progress towards Net Zero emissions.
Suggested uses include:
Improvements to building fabric and equipment such as:
- heating, ventilation, and air conditioning upgrades.
- renewable heat technologies such as installing an air source heat pump
- improving insulation, draught-proofing, double or secondary glazing,
- installing LED lighting.
- installing solar panels, wind turbines.
Waste Minimisation, Recovery and Reprocessing such as :
- Projects that will result in a reduction in waste production
- The installation of equipment to assist with recovery and reprocessing of waste streams eg cardboard recycling
- Projects that close the loop on resources that would otherwise be wasted (circular economy)
Alternative Transport such as;
- EV charge points to promote the use of EVs
- E-bikes for delivery of goods
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
