
Climate Resilience Net Zero – CLOSED TO NEW APPLICATIONS
Net Zero
The Climate Resilience Net Zero, is grant funding to mitigate the effect of climate change on Dumfries & Galloway businesses/organisations and to support them to transition towards a Net Zero future. The grant covers the first £3,000 of eligible capital expenditure costs and it is paid after application approval. Due to its popularity the grant is NOW CLOSED TO NEW APPLICATIONS.

Suggested uses include:
Improvements to building fabric and equipment such as:
- Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning upgrades
- Renewable heat technologies such as installing an air source heat pump
- Improving insulation, draught-proofing (excludes windows and doors)
- Installing LED lighting
- Installing solar panels, wind turbines
Waste Minimisation, Recovery and Reprocessing such as:
- Projects that will result in a reduction in waste production
- The installation of equipment to assist with recovery and reprocessing of waste streams eg cardboard recycling
- Projects that close the loop on resources that would otherwise be wasted (circular economy)
Alternative Transport such as:
- EV charge points to promote the use of EVs
- E-bikes for delivery of goods
Are You Eligible?
To qualify, your business must:
- Be an existing business registered as a Sole-Trader, Partnership, or Limited Company, (includes social enterprises).
- Be a micro, small, or medium-sized enterprise as defined by the Companies Act 2006.
- Aim to create jobs or increase turnover by 10% or work towards a net zero plan, all within 12 months.
- Operate from dedicated commercial premises, registered on Non Domestic Rates with Dumfries and Galloway Council.
- Have the relevant planning permission required to make any Climate Resilience adaptations to the business premises.
- Not have previously received a climate resilience grant from the UKSPF
